Gabion retaining wall is a retaining structure made of stacked mesh boxes, divided into several cells by partitions at intervals of 1 meter. In order to strengthen the structural strength of the gabion mesh retaining wall, the diameter of the steel wire used at the edge must be thicker than the diameter of the mesh wire. Filling the mesh box with blocks of stone can not only bear the weight of the solid material, but also withstand the erosion of rainwater, while maintaining the integrity of the structure.
Gabion retaining wall inspection standards:
1. Steel wire diameter tolerance: ±0.06mm
2. Mesh tolerance: +16%/-4%
3. Steel wire tensile strength: 350-550N/㎡
4. Steel wire elongation: >12%
5. Minimum coating amount: Φ2.7 245g/㎡, Φ3.4 265g/㎡, Φ2.2 230g/㎡
6. Specification (length, width, height) allowable tolerance: ±5%
Features of gabion retaining wall:
(1) Economical and convenient. Materials can be collected locally, and the stones can be put into the mesh box and then sealed.
(2) Simple construction. No water, cement and formwork are required, and no electricity supply is required. It can be operated completely manually.
